Emmaus Church was built in 1896 as a spiritual center for the then rapidly growing Reiherstieg district. Its tall church tower, which miraculously survived the destruction of the Second World War, still dominates the image of the district today. The bombed-out church was rebuilt in 1954 in the simple style of the time and, together with the parish hall inaugurated in 2019 and the adjacent daycare center, forms the "Reiherstieg Campus".
Thanks to its excellent acoustics and size, it is ideal for concerts and cultural events.
